What We Do

Our Framework for Ministry guides us in how we make fervent and obedient disciples for Jesus Christ. Whether it's week by week or throughout the year, there are opportunities for all ages to get involved at Carney Free! Check out the ways we join God's mission--and the missionaries we partner with in God's mission--as you scroll down. We hope that you will join us too!

Week by Week

Our walk with the Lord together affects not just Sunday mornings, but our rhythms of life throughout each week. Be sure to join us for more than our Sunday services!  If you have any questions about our weekly activities, please contact the church office.

  • Sundays

    • Discipleship Classes for all ages at 9am
    • Worship Service at 10am
    • Toddlers' Church available for 2- to 4-year-olds
    • Children’s Church available during the sermon for 5-year-olds through 3rd grade (September-May)
    • Junior and Senior High Youth Group meets at 6pm in the youth rooms in the basement of the parsonage. Meetings include fellowship, games, snacks, Bible study and small group discussion. Other activities, like Fall Fest at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp and DISTRICTS Youth Conference in Green Bay, are great steps for further growth in God and bonding with one another throughout the year.

  • Thursdays

    • Small Group Bible Study meets at 9:30am at the church.

Throughout the Year

Every season of the year is full of special times for our church family. Looking to enjoy more than Christmas and Easter? We are too.

  • Winter (Jan-Mar)

After Christmas ends and the New Year begins, we look forward to sharing the good news about Jesus Christ at our annual Venison Supper. We also celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection with a Maundy Thursday Service, a Good Friday Service, an Easter Morning Sunrise Service, and a celebratory service later on Easter morning.

  • Spring (Apr-Jun)

After our four services on Easter weekend, and once the school year draws to a close, we celebrate our graduates in a Graduation Sunday. Sometimes we participate in the Carney Rodeo Cowboy Church service in early June.

  • Summer (Jul-Sept)

From June to October we meet one Sunday evening per month at different homes for Fireside Fellowship to enjoy snacks, singing and testimonies. Our annual baptism service and church picnic is held at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp in mid-August. We also encourage our students to participate in See You At the Pole on the third Wednesday of September.

  • Fall (Oct-Dec)

As the school season begins again, so do our Discipleship Classes and weekly children's groups. We celebrate together with a Soup and Pie Social the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The end of the year brings caroling and Christmas celebrations, including our Youth Christmas Program and Christmas Eve service at 4:30.

Missions at Carney Free

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).

Christ's command compels us to make disciples both here in our community and around the world, near and far. We love our missionaries, and it is our joy and honor to support them in doing the Lord's work. We have an especially close connection with Lake Lundgren Bible Camp, 30 minutes to the west, supporting four missionary families and eagerly cooperating with their ministries to kids and adults.

We currently support missionaries through several missions organizations. To learn more about some of them, follow the links below:
